Here’s a snapshot of the projects I worked on in each country:

Philippines

King’s Garden Children’s Home

Description:  King’s Garden Children’s Home houses 49 orphaned, abandoned, neglected, or abused children.  They were founded in 1994 and recently installed new directors.

Project:  Developed policies and procedures for foreign and local visitors; created an advocacy campaign; provided website content; recommended and trained on a new CRM system.

OBSCC

Description:  The Old Balara Christian Community School integrates the elements of the Building an Enterprising Society Today (BEST) approach in the K-12 curriculum, teaching entrepreneurship skills and mindset in every subject.

Project:  Created a campaign strategy and content to raise donations for a new school building from various target groups.

Indonesia

JaRI

Description:  The JaRI Foundation provides relive services and protection for women and children who are victims of violence; education and counseling to schools and the general public to prevent and avoid violence; and assistance services for victims during the medical, psychological, and legal recovery process.

Project:  Developed a growth strategy to continue expansion and effectiveness; created volunteer job descriptions to fill recommended roles; created an advocacy campaign to raise awareness on ongoing issues of violence in society; trained on social media content strategies to engage youth and create new channels of communication.

New School Project

Description:  A rural community outside of Bandung lacked appropriate schooling options. 

Project:  Worked with the project lead to identify new fundraising strategies and channels, and created content for promotion, and recommended communication options to continue raising needed support.

Kita Designs

Description:  Kita Designs is a holistic employment center that provides jobs to sexually exploited and at-risk women.  In addition to learning valuable handicraft skills, they also learn life skills like business, budgeting, parenting, computers, and English.

Project:  Created a business plan and consulted on local and international sales expansion for Kita’s products through traditional and new media channels.

Community Outreach Projects

Description:  Supporting community engagement, understanding, and interfaith friendship.

Project:  Assisted and spoke at Community Dinners, movie nights, and several special events.

Bandung International Church

Description:  A community of international Christians in Bandung.

Project:  Analyzed and recommended revisions on their web presence and developed appropriate content.

Cambodia

Flame

Description:  Flame supports slum-dwelling children and their families through financial support that allows children to attend school.  In addition, Flame provides medical and health care, clean water, mobile book programs, activity and sports centers, and leadership training and mentoring, to ensure that children have the best opportunity for success.

Project:  Developed a strategic plan, created templates for performance appraisals and process documentation, trained on logistical frameworks and communication strategies, spoke at the leadership academy.

Fountain of Hope

Description:  Fountain of Hope works to help children and teenagers in rural Cambodia with health, education, mentorship, and life skills.  They work with the community on addressing critical problems and support members with life-threatening illness.  They invest in capacity building and economic development initiatives for long-term sustainability.

Project:  Led a three-day training workshop for project and staff leadership, addressing strategic planning and goals, monitoring and evaluation, creating logistical frameworks, communication with various stakeholders, project documentation, and advocacy work.

Life Center

Description:  Life Center is a community gathering point, focused on teaching English, life skills, and community engagement initiatives. 

Project:  Developed a strategic plan and an organizational analysis of major areas of focus with recommendations for improvement.

Thailand

In Better Hands

Description:  In Better Hands was founded to combat the epidemic of child trafficking through rescuing or helping at-risk children who are abandoned, abused, hungry, in danger of being trafficked or have been trafficked.

 Project:  Developed a strategic plan; created a child protection policy template and outlined other policies to be created for organizational success; wrote key performance indicators and developed an outline of a procedures manual; created examples of advisory board roles and responsibilities; wrote several project proposals; created a process documentation for establishing new safe houses; developed a training agenda for house parent professional development workshop.

Business as Mission

Description:  Business as Mission focuses on connecting international business projects with missional impact through job creation, economic development, skills training, and life transformation.

Project:  Supported the 2019 USA Conference through creation of content and marketing, social media recommendations and conference toolkit, developing contacts and outreach, and audience analysis for targeted outreach.

ICA

Description:  ICA is an international church based in Bangkok.

Project:  Worked with new leadership HR challenges and recommended framework solutions; created examples of admirative tools to help strengthen and grow the team.

AGPA

Description:  AGPA supports missionary teams throughout pensular Asia, including development and aid projects.

Project:  Developed a social media outreach campaign and engagement strategy for their key focus for the next 5 years.

Myanmar

Light and Life Foundation

Description:  Light and Life Foundation provides childcare, school tutoring and housing, orphan support, leadership training, and higher education.

Project:  Created a strategic plan for several of their programs; trained leadership on strategy and planning, created several project proposals; collaborated with other international NGOs to bring new k-12 educational curriculum to a disadvantaged region.

ICCM

Description:  Provides assistance to at risk children.

Project:  Developed project proposals to launch education hostels and provide training for workers.

Bangladesh

Home of Hope

Description:  The Home of Hope is an orphanage in Bangladesh that provides a home for children without parents or children whose guardian can no longer care for them. Most of the children come from villages where trafficking of children is a temptation, including areas unreached and inaccessible to foreigners.

Project:  Created a strategic plan; developed an advocacy campaign and social media strategy to raise awareness and increase funding.

Bangladesh Bible College

Description:  The Bible College trains pastors and church leadership.

Project:  Created a strategic plan for growth and expansion.

Joy Bangla

Description:  Joy Bangla rescues young girls from sex trafficking and provides community development training, assistance, and resources in impoverished areas.

Project:  Developed a strategic plan with an emphasis on HR management, staff training, and team growth; wrote job descriptions for new volunteers needed to execute the vision; provided organizational analysis and recommendations to strengthen focus and outcomes.

Basha Boutique

Description:  Basha creates high quality, unique, handmade products which reflect the traditions of Bangladesh while employing women at risk and survivors of trafficking.

Project:  Consulted on growing the foundation and awareness of the product’s story; recommended new communication channels and opportunities to expand and grow.

Kenya

Ebenezer Children’s Home and School; Street Boys Center

Description:  Ebenezer is an indigenous Community Based Organization in a rural village that serves over 1,000 children through orphanage, K-12 school, and a home and rehabilitation center for street boys.

Project:  Provided consultation on organizational management and administration; developed and trained on a strategic plan; coached in international and cross-cultural communications.

Nurmay Missions

Description:  Nurmay is based in a rural village providing high quality primary school education.  They also provide vocational training and English tutoring to young adults focused on Christian ministry.

Project:  Taught English classes to vocational students; consulted on organizational direction, strategy, and growth.

Uganda

HEED Uganda

Description:  HEED works in Kyakitanga, Uganda to bring education, water & sanitation, food & income, spiritual growth, and health to help this community thrive.

Project:  Consulted on leadership transition: recruitment, vetting, interviewing, negotiation, and onboarding through a documented plan and onsite assistance; developed board charter for Village Advisory Committee of community elders and Kampala local board; created job description and interviewed project coordinator; revised employee code of conduct; began work on a coffee project for community development and raising household income and strategizing a vocational school.

Action International – Gulu

Description: Action International supports a school with a focus on special needs children, training programs, and refugee work.

Project:  Created a strategic plan; drafted a proposal for income-generation and self-sustainability; trained on leadership, communication, and international fundraising.

Roots2Fruits

Description:  Roots2Fruits is an educational curriculum designed for superior learning and information retention, replacing that rote memory approach currently used.

Project:  Consulted on business planning and regional expansion; developed a job description for required positions to grow the business.

Royal School International

Description:  Royal School International is a private school serving local students and boarders in Mityana.

Project:  Created a strategic plan, including project proposals for the new vocational school hostel; wrote sponsorship stories with photos.

Urge Uganda

Description:  Founded on the premise of social transformation through creative communication, Urge is formed by a bunch of creatives passionate about people, shaping perceptions and advocates for behavioral change for development, through key sectors that drive economic growth, i.e education, health, governance, agriculture, finance and entrepreneurship.

Project:  Organizational analysis on focus, employee engagement and understanding of mission, SWOT, and growth opportunities.

Rwanda

Hope for Life

Description: Hope For Life serves impoverished youth through holistic care. We provide stability and empower them with resources and education needed to obtain a flourishing future for themselves and their community.

Project:  Developed a strategic plan; trained staff on team building, strategy execution, and communication; provided templates for HR and communication plans; developed a risk indicator for onboarding new street boys; consulted on organizational structure and growth options.

CARSA

Description: CARSA exists to reconnect genocide victims and their offenders, empower youth for sustainable peace-building, empower communities out of poverty, and disciple children as followers of Christ.

Project:  Developed a proposal and template for an international conference on peace and reconciliation; created new job descriptions required for planned reconciliation center and CARSA communications team; developed a marketing plan and fundraising strategy; provided social media plan and toolkit; outlined two books for founders.

Malawi

Youth With A Mission – Blantyre, Dzaleka, Chiringane

Description: YWAM is a multinational, non-denominational Christian organization focused on training, evangelism, and helping the poor and needy.

Project: Consulted and developed a strategic plan to help launch two new projects focused on training community leaders and refugee outreach. Worked in the remote village of Chiringane training in business and entrepreneurship. Developed a children’s entrepreneurship classes offered in three locations. Helped the Chiringane YWAM leadership develop a 5 year strategic plan and created recruitment tools to grow their impact.

Mozambique

Youth With A Mission – Quelimane

Description: YWAM is a multinational, non-denominational Christian organization focused on training, evangelism, and helping the poor and needy. Quelimane is focused on business training and public health in rural areas.

Project: Led a week-long seminar on business and entrepreneurship for 20-30 community members.

Life Church

Description: Life Church supports the community of Quelimane through small groups, child care centers, and training programs targeting the poor and underserved.

Project: Consulted on organizational structure, growth strategies, and alignment-driven new programs to move forward their vision.

Youth With A Mission – Idugo Island

Description: YWAM is a multinational, non-denominational Christian organization focused on training, evangelism, and helping the poor and needy. Idugo Island focuses on leadership training, community development, and mercy ministries.

Project: Taught a week-long seminar covering leadership, vision, entrepreneurship, and personal finance.

Zambia

Jubilee Center

Description: Jubilee Center supports leadership development to transform communities, with a targeted focus on poverty alleviation, health, education, and sustainable livelihood.

Project: Worked with the staff, board, and key stakeholders on strategy development and effective implementation, specifically in the midst of executive leadership transition.

Serve Zambia

Description: SERVE Zambia provides health, social, and spiritual services to the community, helping the chronically ill, orphans, and vulnerable children. Programs are implemented through Home Based Care, church mobilization, and training in leadership and life skills.

Project: Provided staff and board training on strategy focus, mission realignment, communication, and metrics and measurements for goals and strategies.

Zimbabwe

YWAM Manicaland/Celebration Church

Description: YWAM is a multinational, non-denominational Christian organization focused on training, evangelism, and helping the poor and needy. YWAM Manicaland focuses on counseling, empowerment, and mentoring women and youth.

Project: Guest trainer at weekly woman’s meeting. Developed a strategic plan and growth strategies for local project. Provided consultation sessions for several young entrepreneurs, leaders, and youth.

Destiny Image School

Description: Destiny Image is a primary school in Rusape, Zimbabwe.

Project: Worked with the staff to create a SWOT-based strategy focused on growth and expansion.

South Africa

Action International

Description: Action International’s South Africa office helps at-risk children in poor communities, provides healthcare training for young mothers, trains leaders, and partners in community development.

Project: Created a strategic plan for Actional International – South Africa. Consulted with several new project leads and designed launch strategies. Trained team in social media outreach and increased profile.
